Course Content
The course will focus on the relationship between fashion and media in the period from the second half of 19th century to the present time. Moving from the relevance of this relationship in today's digital context, we will start from contemporary fashion film in order to focus on the way in which both feature films and non-entertainment cinema served as a vehicle for fashion during the 20th century.

Learning Objectives
The course's aim is to provide basic historical knowledge on the relationship between fashion and media in the period from the late XIXth century to the present. It will offer critical and analytical tools for understanding and interpreting different audiovisual representations of fashion.

Lessons with analysis of films, photographs, illustrations, artworks and advertisements related to fashion.
